Coleman Cobra 2 Two Person Backpacking Tent

By painek
I bought this tent because I was in a crunch planning for a camping vacation. The other tent that I had sprung a leak after I set it up to check it out. When I went inside to have a cup, my daughter went Psycho and started poking holes through the tent multiple times with a stake. I did not have enough to send it off to get it fixed so I bought this. I received the tent and went into the garden to practice setting it up (daughter now named "tentkiller" was at the kindergarten". I was surprised at how easy it was. The inner shell is attached inside with quick release clips and does not have to be set up separately. The poles (2) go through a webbing that is outside the shell of the tent. I think this is really clever because the poles contacting the tent will not be a potential leak point. The stakes go in the front and back inner and outer shell straps. Stake the sides. Stake the ropes. That's it, Bobs your uncle. Start to finish was 6 minutes after the third practice. The tent is roomy on the inside for two people and cozy for two. My wife is on the smaller side so I do think it would be tight for two husky people. The storage area on the entrance is large enough for the shoes and a daypack. The storage on the other side is large enough for the 70 litre pack. Unfortunately, it does not come with a ground sheet for these areas so if it was wet you would have to have a bag or other waterproof item to set your packs on. Dis-assembly was just as easy and fit into the compression bag that it came in. The tent is relatively light, 1.4 kg, and small if packed right. I am happy.

Pros

+ Light
+ Easy setup
+ External frame
+ small when packed
Cons
- no ground clothe for storage areas
- stakes are a bit flimsy
- guy line locks bend easy

Hope this review helps.

Wenzel Tents

By Sebastian Cork

Wenzel tents give you 100% peace of mind when it comes to camping... but who are Wenzel Tents?

The company was started by a sail maker named Hermann Wenzel in 1887. In the early days he began by treating and sewing together sail canvases and making tarps for covered wagons! The company has gone from strength to strength and now has over 120 years of design consideration which has gone into creating Wenzel Tents as we know it today, which enables them to offer the most comfortable camping experience you and your family may ever have and even better, they are great value for money!

Wenzel prides itself on making high quality tents that can withstand the demands of the "great outdoors". They have kept their company tradition of constant improvement and continued research over the years searching for better materials and processes. Today Wenzel has a fully equipped laboratory and is committed to providing customers with a better camping experience.

Wenzel Tents product range covers all aspects of camping and hiking, whether you are looking for a tent for your family or you are planning a trip on your own. They are one of the leading brands of tent sold across America.

Wenzel has a wide range of quality tents in various sizes and colors. They can sleep from one person up to nine people.

With their many years of experience it guarantees you are buying a high quality product that you know has been tried and tested.

They are very easy to "put up" and "take down" and are made with a highly tested water-resistant material with sonic welded polyethylene floors. The hard-wearing alloy poles form part of their construction, a Dutch "D" style entrance door with an inside flap and a polyester mesh window to offer great ventilation.

Wenzel produce tents as one of their leading products, but also compliments this with a wide range of other camping items.

Here are just a couple of the highlighted tents that are available from Wenzel.
One of the most popular tents in the Wenzel Tent range is the 'Wenzel Mountain Trails Current Hiker (6ft x 5ft) 2 person Dome Tent.

It is a high quality, affordable tent that offers features from a name you can trust. This Wenzel sto'n'go all in one portable pack system is perfectly suited for outdoor adventures and simple to just roll and go.

Next is the Wenzel Mountain Trail Hiker Sport. This tent easily accommodates two people within its 30sqft. It is a lightweight compact design with removable fly and mesh roof vents. It has a Dutch "D" style entrance door, polyester mesh windows and again it is has a reinforced polyethylene floor and welded seams.

Wenzel's mission statement is to help more families experience the outdoors they know and love. To achieve this Wenzel have tried and tested each product through a very "specialized filter"... their families. Research is not just for the boardroom. Research done in the middle of the woods is a completely different story! At Wenzel, they understand about camping, which is why the Wenzel tents have been designed so they are easy to put up, take down and pack away.

Wenzel claims "we are ambassadors to the outdoors; we love families to return to the place where memories are made and souls are fuelled".
